I’ve been getting to grips with ASP.Net vNext (beta4 using Visual Studio 2015 RC), by default gulp-rimraf is installed to get rid of files and folders.
I’m unsure whether this is going to be removed in the template for vNext in the future, but it probably should…..
However it has been deprecated, instead you should be using del as the guys at html5boilerplate suggest.
As an added bonus – del (github) protects you from deleting your working directory and supports multiple files
